Bring Back The Buses
The People of the Tees Valley are not being served well enough by our public transport system.
Bus routes in the Tees Valley are a patchwork of poor services, taken off or changed whenever the private companies feel like it. They aren’t co-ordinated well between the companies and communities outside our town centres are left isolated or forced to get a car.
As Mayor I will use the substantial legal powers that come with the role to work to Bring Back the Buses. That means giving the public the power and influence to shape bus services, to:
- Radically improve the network
- Get cheaper fares
- Ensure more and better routes
- Create a greener, cleaner fleet
- Offer concessions for carers and young people
But to do this I need your help. We need to show that hundreds of us across the Tees Valley want our bus services to change & work for people – not profit.
So join the the campaign now & sign the pledge to support my campaign to bring back our buses, and create services our communities deserve.
